ASTROSAT
It is first dedicated Astronomy satellite of India launched by ISRO on 28 September 2015, which will be helpful in multi-wavelength observation of celestial bodies and cosmic sources in X Ray and UV spectral band simultaneously. The scientific payloads cover visible (3500- 6000)angstrom, UV ( 1300-3500)angstrom, hard and soft X- Ray regime (3-80KeV and 0.5-8KeV). The uniqueness of ASTROSAT lie in it's wide range of specral coverage extending over Visible, UV, soft and hard X-ray regions.
South Asia satellite
It was launched on 5 may 2017 and was developed by ISRO. It was developed considering South Asian nations against an announcement made by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 18th SAARC summit in November 2014.
